BJP's Nishikant Dubey accused Trinamool MP Mahua Moitra of taking bribes to favor a business group in parliamentary proceedings. In a letter to Speaker Om Birla, Dubey urged a committee probe and Moitra's suspension until the report's submission. Moitra, dismissing the charges, called for an investigation into alleged breaches of privilege by Dubey and BJP leaders before any action against her. Earlier, Moitra had sought Dubey's Lok Sabha membership termination, alleging his degrees were "fake."
